SWAIN COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION & REVIEW
Pursant to N.C.G.S. 105-322 the Swain County Board of Equalization and Review will meet as required by law.
PURPOSE OF MEETINGS
To hear, upon request, any and all taxpayers who own or control taxable property assessed for taxation in Swain County, North Carolina, with respect to the valuation of such property, or the property of others, and to fulfill other duties and responsibilities required by law.
TIME OF MEETINGS
The Swain County Board of Equalization and Review will convene for its first meeting on May 6th, 2024, and will adjourn for the purpose of accepting requests for hearings at its last meeting on May 8th, 2024. Meetings will begin at 9:30 a.m in the Swain County Tax Office, in the Collectors Office located at 101 Mitchell Street, Bryson City, N.C. Requests for hearings must be received not later than the final adjournment date of Tuesday, May 8th, 2024 by 9:30 a.m. In the event of any earlier or later adjournment date, notice will be given to the newspaper of publication.
